Specialized Therapies

At Lattimore Physical Therapy we strive to provide comprehensive orthopedic care for all musculoskeletal conditions from head to toe.  One component of providing comprehensive care is providing specialized services to offer the highest level of care possible.  Please see the list below for some of our specialties.  This list is by no means comprehensive as our therapists are always furthering their knowledge and skillset.  If you are ever in need of something very specific please click the button below and we will point you in the right direction!

Aquatic therapy

Our centrally located White Spruce office offers aquatic therapy services.  Aquatic therapy is a great alternative to land-based PT for patients with a wide array of conditions.  The benefits of aquatic therapy include improved mobility, decreased stress through the affected body part, and can be helpful with diagnoses such as osteoarthritis, neuropathy, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and many more.

  • McKenzie Certified: Several of our therapists have additional training in the McKenzie Method which is a treatment protocol for lumbar, thoracic, and cervical spine disorders as well as various upper and lower extremity conditions.

  • Hand Therapy – our Culver Road location offers certified hand therapy for all aspects of hand and UE care including splinting

  • Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization: IASTM, including the Graston technique, is a form of massage and myofascial release that uses specialized tools during treatment.  These tools help in relieving muscle tightness, sprains and strains, and repetitive use injuries in all populations.  The benefits of IASTM include improved mobility/flexibility, decreased pain, increased blood flow, and decreased muscle spasm.

  • Vestibular: Several of our therapists have completed additional training through the American Balance Institute to become certified in treating vertigo, dizziness, concussion, and a wide array of vestibular issues.
